things are alright here, mainly. i feel as if summer has just began, the way everything is right now; as if shane were never even here. and i know it's silly of me to miss him (he's only been gone four days), and i will see him in a couple of weeks, but really, i am foolish, so of course i miss him.

i finished the bell jar. i loved it beyond anything. now i am reading 1984 because, for some reason, we never read it in high school. i am almost finished.

i am talking to shane now. it is alright if he hangs out with rachel, i say, and it is alright for me to hang out with tim m. we will not be jealous crazies because we love each other and will not forget it.
